He acted as CEO and Executive Vice Chairman for Octane Holding, an alternative solutions provider for institutional clients. Prior he was CFO of PunterSouthall Group, a diversified UK financial services group. In South Africa he was Genbel Securities’ Chief International Officer, and within UBS he held various management positions, a/o as Managing Director and Country Head of UBS Southern Africa, Head of Corporate Finance Eastern Europe and Head of Export Finance.
Gerald received his Master’s degree and PhD in Law from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, as well as an MBA from the University of Virginia, USA.
He serves on the Board of NBK Private Bank (Switzerland) Ltd., and was a Board Member on numerous investment funds and financial services companies. He also takes an active role as ambassador for the young education related NGO group Aiducation International Schweiz.
He specializes in corporate und commercial law, with special focus on law of corporations and limited liability companies, national and international tax law, international law of succession, estate planning, inheritance issues and international law of sports.
Hans Bodmer received his Master’s degree and PhD in law from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and his M.C.L. form the University of San Diego School of Law, USA. Hans is a member of the Legal Committee of the FISU (International University Sports Foundation), of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), and serves on several Boards, including NGOs.
He is the co-founder of Clarmond Investment Solutions, its Executive Vice Chairman with core responsibility for the development of CIS’ strategic investment solutions and its marketing strategies. In 2001 he co-founded Octane, an alternatives solutions provider to institutional clients, was its Director of funds, and sold his holdings to Sanlam Insurance company at the end of 2009.
His more than 20 years in investment experience include functions as strategist at the Lexington Worldwide Emerging Markets fund along with an emerging markets hedge fund. He also worked at Cambridge Associates (Boston), a consultancy to endowments and universities.
Mustafa has a BA (History and Economics) from Brown University, an MA (War Studies) from King’s College and was a DPhil (candidate) at Balliol College, Oxford University.
Peter founded a diversified financial services company Ngamiland Trust in 1989. The company grew resulting in several spinoffs in Botswana, including Alexander Forbes Financial Services Employee Benefit Consulting and Fund Administration. He remained as CEO until 2016 of the asset management and advisory businesses. These merged with Fleming Asset Management in 1999, subsequently J.P. Morgan. Flemings became one of the largest asset managers in Botswana. In 2016 Peter sold out of Flemings.
Peter has sat on a number of Boards of public companies, NGOS and charities. He was Chairman of Chobe Holdings, a major safari company listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange. He is Chairman of the Botswana Communication Regulatory Authority, a Trustee of the Platbos Conservancy in South Africa and Secretary to the Kalahari Conservation Society.
Peter has Honours degrees in Economics from University of Cape Town and Accounting from the University of South Africa. He is member of the UK CFA Society, a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the Institute in Botswana, and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.
